Default Mazda hires VW designer Jenkins to head U.S. staff

It is confirmed.

Published in the autonews.com, Mazda indeed has hired former Volkswagen designer Derek Jenkins as its new U.S. design chief.

At Mazda Design Americas in Irvine, Calif., Jenkins will be leading a staff of 25 people.

Interesting.. I think mazda's current designs are more forward thinking then VW's but I'd like to see some of the interior designs come through. VW makes a great interior.
