I'm trying really hard not to make a Snatch joke right here.

The engine itself has plenty of torque to pull the average sleeper, but you need to watch the tongue weight and the braking ability of the car. I've seen people pull some pretty big things with some pretty small cars, and unless you live on hilly territory you're usually ok. Expect to replace the clutch more frequently though.

What is is you're trying to tow?

I don't think it's officially rated for towing is it?

I would think less then 2000lbs though and you would have no trouble.

Congrats on the new car, you'll love it!

So you're towing just over 2600 lbs, if my math is right. I certainly would not want to go much past that.

Then again, I've seen pick up trucks with far less power pull bigger things, just because it's a truck doesn't make it better.

I'd just keep an eye on the transmission, or maybe consider a tranny cooler to go along with it, it would probably pay off in the long run.

towed the van this weekend and it pulls better than my 4.0 litre cherokee jeep that i had (horrible car). i could not believe how well it pulled it,also took it out for a blast, had it doing 130mph no worries with still more to go but run out of road.

People think that just because they have a truck then can tow, no reason a ( sometimes ) more powerful car can't tow something. As long as you keep the tongue weight in check.

hehe I'd like to see pics too though!
