Hey Carl, it's easy... especially after you've done it once
![]() Behind the head lamp you'll see a circular cap with some fins on it. Rotate that 1/8 turn and then it should come out exposing the back of the bulb. Inside will be the back of the bulb and the wire harness. Rotate the back of the bulb assembly and it should come out. Disconnect the wires and replace it, and put it back the same way you took it out. |

I did it a few months ago, I didn't have to take anything off, but it helps to have small hands. If you really can't get to it, taking the coolant tank off shouldn't be much trouble, I personally wouldn't mess with the AC line though.

Good stuff Carl,
Surprised you had to take out the tank, I looked at mine this morning, and I probably could have done it with out moving it. Either way, you just saved yourself a couple hundred bucks from the dealer ![]() |

hi changing low beam on left side (uk) but found light not earthing (fuse, wiring and bulb all work) when new bulb placed back in housing, as this is in a real awkward place, can the headlamp be easily removed or would it be better to unhouse the fusebox which sits behind light fitting (probably on right side on us mazda6) help please

I have to replace one of the front side lights; I suppose the technical name is now 'parking lights'. There's this silly black plastic case all round the inside of the light cluster though. Is it a good idea to take that off to get to the bulbs?

Ohh thanks, yes I just want to replace the one little bulb... the little dull one that is next to the main beam bulb. I bought the new bulb from a Mazda dealer who charged me the grand total of 71p! I was expecting a bit more than that! Haha
