Hesitation problem?

I thought I would post and let anyone know that if you have a hesitation problem with your Mazdaspeed6, that my dealer, and a few others have pinned it down to a faulty fuel pump.

This was a head scratcher for a few of us, and since I had it replace the problem is gone.

So if check it out if you're having the problem.. it is NOT normal, like they try to tell you

Jim, you're the man!! I thought it was just a bad tank of gas, but it's happened again. Now I can tell them where to look.

I'll let everyone know if that turns out to be the cause.

Good to know, but mine is thankfully fine, never had an issue with it. Good luck with the fix.

I had a car that used to do that all the time, I almost got smoked in an intersection becuase of it

is the MazdaSpeed fuel pump differant then the normal one?

I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure it's a higher flow pump

I had mine replaced about a month ago, same problem. They told me it was gummed up, and they had never seen the problem before. But it looks like it's a little more common then they would like to admit
