Talking My New Toy!

Hi All,

I have recently got hold of my 57 plate Mazda TS2. I went for the diesel one and its a excellant drive. Its Ex Demo and has done 7000 miles, but I don't mind that really, its still as good as new! One or two small things with it though, just wondering if anyone else had these problems:

I was driving to work on xmas eve (3 days after getting the car) and the oil light came on, so I pulled over and noticed all the oil dropping out of the bottom of the engine, I got RAC out to take me back to the dealer, and it turns out the Sump Plug "fell out"....... doesnt sound right to me, how can that just fall out!? Mechanic hadnt tightened it up enough maybe??
Although I didn't mind to much as I got out of work for the day!

Also the Traction Control wasnt working at all, no lights on the dash for it and the DSC off button did nothing, also the Remaining Fuel was just displaying ---- instead of the miles. The dealer had the car for the whole day on Friday and they sorted the issues out so all is ok now, just thought they were strange problems to have on a new car! I did manage to haggle a full tank and a full valet from them as it broke down, so not all bad!!!

Anyway, as I say the car is execllant, so easy to drive, and the power is there when needed, even in 6th gear!

Andy

Exactly it, plug wasn't tightened. Happens more time then you can imagine. Hopefully you didn't drive too long with out oil.

Congrats on the new toy, and welcome to the forum, nice to have you here!
