Hi John, welcome to the forum.

If the car is in gear, it won't roll anywhere, unless it's a REALLY steep hill, so think it just popped out of gear.

Your problem though is the handbrake. Do you have to pull it up really far? I'd swing by the dealer and have them adjust it, it's a pain to do it yourself, and that's what warranty is for

It should just need an adjustment, nothing major. The result is though, did your car smash right through the house, or just kind of bump it?

I had a car roll down a hill once, I sat and watched it go.. it was one of the most surreal experiences I have ever had.. so helpless, lucky it just went into a ditch on the other side.

Hmmm I have never had this problem, and I can say I'm glad about that, what a shock it must have been.

Sounds like it did a fair bit of damage, problem is you could never convince anyone that you didn't just forget the handbrake.

Good luck getting it all fixed up!
