Default Electrical problem?

First post after joining the group - I have a 2003 mazda 6 TS2 Diesel which has now developed an annoying periodic fault. When in neutral with clutch engaged ie approaching a set of lights etc or when just idling in cold weather the engine revs dropt to a point where the engine cuts out, not great in moving traffic. The engine does re-start but can then cut out again a short time later

Anyone had a similar problem or have any ideas as to the cause?

Sounds like a MAP sensor issue, or something screwy in the ECU. Easiest test is to pull the main fuse and reset your ECU and let it relearn.

I take it no CEL has lit up?

Welcome!

I would have said the same as HC, as I've had a similar problem, but I am no expert.
