Auto or Manual?

Just wondering what the majority went with on the 6? Auto or Manual

I see it as the manual owners wanted a fun sporty car, the Auto guys wanted a sedan and nothing more.

So what did you get?

Manual,
Though this trend towards autos, and SMG, DSG, etc is starting to bug me. I know that they have a lot of advantages, but I like to think I'm a purist, my left leg should be used for clutching. The snick of the gearshift hitting each gate.

It feels like they're dumbing it down for the masses.

Both my cars are manuals, and every once in a while, sitting in traffic I yearn for an auto. Specially if I'm trying to talk on the phone, drink coffee, switch CDs, etc.. but when the road opens up, I forget all about Autos

Same here, once in a while it would be nice to have an Auto, but Manual is just way more fun. Plus you have so much more control

Ya, same here, Auto in traffic is the best, yet I own many cars, and not one of them is an Auto.

I'd much rather shift myself 99% of the time.

I get what you're saying about the Cluctchless trans... I'm kinda split. I've driven my friends M3 with SMG, and it's pretty awesome. If I had to choose, I would really realllly have to think about it.

I think it stands that Manual buyers would typically be the enthusiasts, while the Auto buyers are merely about transportation
