after cleaning the interior of my 06 mazda 3, the information and audio display is off. it has not been dimmed as the dimmer switch is turned all the way up (all other information is lit). is there an on/off button for the display that i am missing?

There's no on/off switch, does the radio and everything still work?
Did you use water when you were cleaning it? maybe some got in there and shorted it out? I would make sure you have the radio code, and then pull the fuse and put it back in, and see if it fires up. I've never heard of that happening before.

Everything else on the car (raido, lights etc.) is working fine. It is only the display that is not working. When I was cleaning i was using the wipes, so nothing should have been wet enough to do any damage. I just went to the local Mazda dealer and they were stumped also.

Ya, this one has me stumped too, far as I know there is no way to turn off the display, other then the dimmer switch. And if half of it works, it sure sounds like a short.
The good thing is that it's still under warranty, so you can just get a new one put in. Probably not the easy answer you were looking for though. |
