Default Mazdaspeed Springs on Mazda3?

What do you guys think? They give a slight drop, and should firm up the car a bit, and price wise it's pretty good too.

Good idea?

A friend of mine did it and he can't shut up about it. I'm thinking about doing it as well.

I swapped the springs, takes a lot of the wheel gap out, and firms up the ride a little bit, I don't think it did anything for handling though, feels about the same after a couple days of getting used it.

Lots of better alternatives out there IMO

If you want handling, then you really should look at a coilover system

hmmm So mostly looks? thanks for the feedback guys. I would like better handling along with it, not just a stiffer ride for the sake of a stiffer ride. Maybe I'll look into some coilovers as well.

That would be my advice, unless you find someone giving some away to upgrade to coilovers, you should just do the same and get yourself a set. It will dramatically increase your handling, and it doesn't have to be super firm to do it.

Sorry, I should have chimed in here earlier. I've had them on for about 5 months now, and am very happy with them. I got them cheap, so I figured why not try it. I was going to get coilovers, but I don't track my car, so I thought this would be a good compromise, and so far it has.
