Hi guys newbie here, i have a 2005 mazda 3 sport which i love apart from the damn headlights! she has xenons and automatic adjustment which doesn't seem to work. it has been back to the dealers for a new adjustment sensor and has come back exactly the same.
Does anyone know if there is any way of manually adjusting the little suckers before i take a hammer to them and bugger the job completly. Many thanks. |

Hi, welcome to the forum.
I know on the non auto adjusting ones there is a philips head screw on the top of the housing that lets you adjust the headlights. Take a look and see if its there, and if so you should be able to adjust it regardless of the auto feature. This is though a safety issue, and the dealer really should take care of it properly. If you can't figure it out easily, I would go back and raise hell!

Hi, managed to get the little blighters adjusted a 10mm hex head bolt on the back of the headlight assembly, actually quite easy really, feeling a little silly(especially when the wife said "is it that thing there") still managed to swallow all manly pride can't wait for it to get dark!
Thanks for the welcome, much appreciated All the best. |

I thought they were all manually adjustable from the little wheel at the left end of the dash. We have had an '05 Mazda3 SP23 and now have an '08 Mazda3s Grand Touring. I never thought they were automatically adjustable.

In Canada the xenons have only been manualling leveling adjusted through the little wheel switch on the dash. I like the feature cause on rural roads where there is no street lighting, the higher setting is nice.
