Unhappy problems with my mazda6 diesel

hi guys
i need some help. my mazda6 stalls intermitantly after starting in the morning. it even wouldn't start on a sunny day and after starting it, it kept stalling. on my journey i had a lack of power for about 10 miles and then seemed ok. after i got home went back out in car 5 minutes later and it would not start. had it checked out at local garage cant find the fault but spoke to mazda they seem to think it maybe diesel pump. it does it when it has been damp weather.can any help its doing my head in. im ready to put a match to the damn thing.

cheers

More then a few people have asked similar questions recently, most seemed to be timing related. Once corrected they seem to fix it.

But I'm tempted to think that your dealer is probably right in that it's the pump. Damp weather is a major culprit for that.

Proably the pump failure can occour about 70000 miles. my advise would be get it dealer checked to be sure these pumps are not cheap

Thumbs up diesel pump problem

I was told my pump was U/S by my dealer and would cost £1400 to replace.
I did a bit of research and when for a second oppinion. as I did no believe a pump would only last 40,000 miles
The out come was the flow control solinoid was U/s and only cost a fraction of the cost to repair and MAZD covered half the repair bill.

Nice save.. I swear cars are getting too complicated these days, remember the good old days when you just had to monkey with the carb for a bit and it fixed everything?

PS. Are you the same Andy that posted the first post, or just a coincidence?
