Good morning! I have a 1990 B2200 that has a (check engine light) that is on. I have a Haynes repair manual on this truck but it's not specific as how to cause the light to go out.Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.Thank You.

Hi Hamster, welcome to the forum.
Do you just want the light out? or do you want to figure out why it came on in the first place? You can pull the main fuse or disconnect the battery terminal for a few minutes and the light should reset. But if there is a problem, it will just come back on again. You're best bet is to figure out what triggered it in the first place. You can go to places like pep boys, etc and have the code read, which will tell you what the fault is, then take steps to correct it. I'm sure I could come up with a list of codes somewhere and post them up |

G'Day all.
I have a 1987 Titan 2 tonne tipper. It gets through 2 litres of water every 50 kms. I have had it checked by for leaks- none. pressure tested-OK checked w/pump OK. replaced rad cap It is usually 40 degrees plus here during the day. So far it does not overheat if i keep adding water- Any ideas welcome |

If you mean water in the generic term, then I'm not sure, if you mean water as in from the tap, that's your problem. Water evaporates. You need to use antifreeze. It has a much higher boiling point and will last much much longer. Even a 50/50 mix is better then just water.
secondly, if you do use water, you should only be using distilled water, tap water has to many minerals in it and will clog up your rad quickly. |
