Watched that video many times... If I ever visit the states I'll make it my mission to find somebody with an '8 and take it around Laguna

To the guys that have done Laguna, is the corkscrew as big as it looks?

You and me both.. sometimes I think about putting my car on a train and heading down there. I hear noise restrictions are starting to get ugly down there though

I would love to experience the "corkscrew", I don't care if it is in a Chevy Cobalt rental.

Yep, it's steep as hell, and when you hit the bottom, your lunch feels like it's trying to come out...well, the right way at least

I'm always surprised at the true incline at various circuits when visited in the flesh; Paddock Hill at Brands Hatch; Ou-Rouge at Spa etc.

The TV / Vids really does them no justice

Spa? man you are so lucky, I would love to drive that course!

But I agree, television never does a track justice, not only in feel, but visually as well. Mountains out of Mole Hills

Man, so would I! I've only been there to watch F1, and ultimately walk part of the circuit...

The test of a true race driver is definitely whether he takes OR full throttle, or lifts (I think I'd lift, big time!)

Hopefully within the next year-or-so we'll plan a RX8OC UK 'European Tour' and take in Spa and Nurburgring

yep, TV never does justice for incline, the hill down to turn 12 at Road Atlanta looks nothing like it's real self on TV. when standing outside the fence, you are almost looking at the top of the cars.

I took this picture last year, I was standing almost level with the cars, and it starts to show the elevations involved.

but there is still nothing like coming up the hill, and seeing nothing but sky, hoping the road is still there as you crest the hill and the car tries to go weightless.
