Default Automatic unlock of passenger side.

I would like to change the way my remote works. When I unlock I would like it to unlock the passenger side as well. I seem to be incapable of doing the requisite double-press, but only succeed in relocking the car while my wife stares at me like a klutz. (By that I mean I'm the klutz - not her). Is there some sequence of pressing the break twice, blowing the horn and indicating right which will change the default programming to this option?

Also, I dunno how many times I've got out the car (leaving the car door open cus I'm unpacking) , gone round to the passenger side and then found it locked, and you cannot unlock/lock it with the remote. It just beeps at me. How dumb is that for programming?

I know for most cars, it's a quick trip to the dealer to get it changed. I'm not familiar with a way to do it yourself.

Sorry
