Default Clutch Pedle adjustment

Hi! I just purchased a used 2004 Mazda RX8 this past Friday from a dealer, I bought the car for my wife and we drove around this weekend and she complained that she had to push the clutch to far in to change gears. I took over the driving and study the clutch and notice that there is a 5-6 inch play before it even begins to ingage. My question is My wife being 5' 4" it's a pain so is there a way to adjust the clutch pedle? if so where ? Thanks

the car was made by japanese youre wifes height has nothing to do with it.get the car back to the dealer straight away.get them to check the clutch it shouldnt be like that.it can be adjusted its either hydraulic or a cable.if they wont do anything for you hand it back and demand the money back to get action from them.its possible the previous owner has abused the car and the clutches knackered, get the car checked ASAP while youre still in the grace period and you can hand it back and buy another and aviod having to fit a clutch to youre new car.

it might be an after market clutch. I know that the ACT setup releases almost on the floor, as do some others. if the clutch grabs good, and you don't get slippage, it might just need some minor adjustments. take it in and ask.
