Default Now this is an Engine Swap!!

As bikes go, they don't get much more off-the-wall than this. Details are thin at the moment but from what we can gather, this bike is a custom made frame, using a modern BMW shaft-driven rear end and a Suzuki front-end. The all important part is the engine, which is from a Mazda RX-7. The rotary engine has two power strokes for every dead stroke and these engines can easily produce 300bhp, from a 1300cc!

It's not going to go around corners very well, but imagine lining that up against an R1 at the Traffic Light GP!

Wow, who would even think about doing that in the first place?

Pretty cool idea. I'd like to see a front 1/4 shot or a head-on shot. Those 13b engines are WIIIIIIDE, not something easy to accommodate on a bike.

I'd be very interested to see a good rotary bike. I'm sure someone has done one. I don't see any reason why someone couldn't copy a wenkel but seriously scale it down and do a 3 or 4 rotor. I'd expect a well-implemented 3 rotor could make for a great, light, balanced and quick bike. Of course, the transmission is going to be interesting no matter what you do....

That it nuts.. I'd love to see that thing in real life. But you'd have to have a lot of time on your hands to start that project.
