if you're in the USA... my dad used to source engines from Used engines and transmissions from Japan from Rising Sun Engines
they dont currently list any rx-7 motors... but maybe you can email them and get lucky, since all they do is import used motors from japan?

You didn't say what year of RX7 you have nor where your located. My best recommendation would be to check with your local dealer for prices on a MAZDA Remanufactured "Reman" short block or price out parts (probably the housings you need most) and have it re-built by a shop that specializes in these engines. Buying a used engine IMO is the preverbial "crap-shoot". You may end up with something little better than what you have now.

Hey I have recently bought a RX7 Engine last two weeks ago, my friend recommend this Autopartswarehouse.com regarding engines. Luckily, it helped me.
