if you're in the USA... my dad used to source engines from Used engines and transmissions from Japan from Rising Sun Engines

they dont currently list any rx-7 motors... but maybe you can email them and get lucky, since all they do is import used motors from japan?

You didn't say what year of RX7 you have nor where your located. My best recommendation would be to check with your local dealer for prices on a MAZDA Remanufactured "Reman" short block or price out parts (probably the housings you need most) and have it re-built by a shop that specializes in these engines. Buying a used engine IMO is the preverbial "crap-shoot". You may end up with something little better than what you have now.

I don't know of any reputable places in the UK, but as Signal says a Mazda Re-man is a safe bet, unless you know the history, or trust the seller, a used engine can be a nightmare

I've used Rick's link before, great place. In your area, a Mazda re-man is a good way to go

Hey I have recently bought a RX7 Engine last two weeks ago, my friend recommend this Autopartswarehouse.com regarding engines. Luckily, it helped me.

Always sad to sell the car to buy a house, but it's a MUCH better investment. Best of luck!
