Default Thunderhill April 21, 2008

SAMOA (Sacramento Area Miata Owners Association) is holding its annual open track day and raffle at Thunderhill in less than 2 months. Everyone is welcome to participate... not only Miatas. Complete details and registration information can be found online at Got Guts At Thunderhill III. Hope to see you there.

In case anyone sends in a payment this week or over the weekend and doesn't get an email confirmation... not to worry. I'm out of town until Monday morning. I'll add everyone to the driver list by Monday PM and confirm to you by email.

Are roll cages required?

First (NA) and second (NB) generation Miatas require an aftermarket rollbar, similar to that provided by Hard Dog or Autopower. The current (NC) generation MX-5 does not require additional aftermarket rollover protection.

Cool, I was thinking more my S2000, but it has stock roll hoops, so it seems like that would be OK, based on your allowance of Miatas?

Yep, your S2K is fine. Same with Z3s, Z4s, Boxsters, etc. My Miata has an S2000 body kit BTW.

To see who's coming so far click on driverlist. Also registered but not yet paid are 4 more Miatas, an S2000, a Z4, 2 EVOs, and a turboed Westfield (Lotus 7 clone).

Four weeks out and sign-ups are going great. 55 paid with 11 more in transit. Looks like we will fill up again this year. Thanks everyone.

Just 2 weeks left... This is a great event for a good cause. Let's fill in those last couple of spots OK?

This sounds like a nice event to attend too. I'll check my sched. and hope that I don't have commitments on that date.
