Cool cable from gear shift to auto box

hi all im new to the forum hope some one can help i bought a mx3 auto the cable from the shift to the autobox had snapt and the last owner had some one to have a look took all the bolts and put them in a box i put a new cable on what a night mare the problem is i have a long nut and bolt left in the box im thinking its from the engine bay but for the life of me i cant find it any one now where its from hope some one can help thanks all.
