Hi everyone:
I have a sony CDX1000RF wireless CD player in my 1990 miata. Ever since I brought it out of storage and hooked up the battery I cannot get the player to work at all. I was able to get the code in the radio and that was no problem. Before storage I woul put the FM preset #6 on and the CD player would work. Now when I do this I get a preset FM station and nothing at all on the CD player. It is as if the CD player is not hooked up. I have checked the wiring and the fuse. Any other suggestions? Greatly appreciated. JT |

Hey, don't want to over state the obvious, but did you set the #6 preset back to the same frequency? when the power goes, the presets go.
You could also try changing the changer to broadcast on a different frequency, maybe there is too much interference on the one you used last year.

I think johnnydrama is right. Check the presets again. If it doesn't work, try looking for different frequency.
If it still doesn't work, replace it. __________________ chevy colorado accessories here |

There might be an internal fuse in the player blown,if its an old unit youve nothing to lose by carefully taking off the casing and checking the internals.
Recheck the wiring diagram for your player, you may have 2 live wires a mains power feed for the whole unit and another to keep the radio preset and clock. If these are mixed up then problems arise,i speak from previous mistakes.GOOD LUCK |
